What does it feel like to witness one’s mother tongue in the throes of extinction? As Carmina and Patch discover, there are many of the almost 200 Filipino languages that are endangered. Yet, there is hope. There are revival efforts afoot in the form of community-based projects, cinema, and artificial intelligence, thanks to those who believe these languages are worth saving.
